Our Simuwood Venetian Blinds are versatile, durable and timeless. This PVC blind is locally made in KwaZulu-Natal and is available in 16 colours. Plastiwood Venetian Blinds offer the timeless aesthetic of wooden blinds but with added moisture resistance and cost-effectiveness.

Slatting

• Simuwood slats are locally manufactured from a mixture of recycled and raw material PVC.
• Slats are extruded and stamped to reflect a wood look.
• Slats are warp-resistant to ensure a neat look.

Hardware

• Head and bottom rail: constructed from extremely robust steel.
• All components: made from galvanised steel or industrial-grade plastic.
• Cords, ladder strings and ladder tapes: made from specialised yarn-dyed polyester.
• Installation brackets: easy to install galvanised swivel brackets.
• Hold down brackets: brass plated spring steel and stainless steel pins.

Motorisation

• Motorisation is available for Plastiwood Venetian Blinds.
• Motorised Venetian Blinds can be lifted, dropped and tilted using a wall switch, remote or programmed control system.
• Motorised Venetian Blinds can also be automated to react to sunlight and temperature. This function is an effective form of temperature control and sunlight protection.

Care Instructions

• Light cleaning regularly with a feather duster.
• When wiping down hardware use a soft cloth and mild detergents only.
• Venetian blinds with 25mm slats can be unclipped and immersed in a mild soapy solution, rinsed and hung up to air dry.

Suitability

• The design of Simuwood Venetian Blinds offer the comforting feeling of wooden window coverings and the practicality of added moisture resistance ( this makes them a perfect choice for use in kitchens and bathrooms )
• Venetian Blinds can be fitted to a window of any size but we do not recommend these blinds for very large openings, such as french doors, patio doors and other glass doors. These openings should rather be fitted with Verticle Blinds, Panel Blinds, Lumi Voile or Shutters.
